North York has a wide range of coffee shops in the city.
These tend to be clustered along North York's main streets,
wether east-west ones like Steeles, Finch, Sheppard, Wilson, Lawrence or Eglinton, or the many north-south ones taking commuters towards downtown Toronto.
Of course there are lots of coffee shops around the various business parks and industrial areas,
as well as in and around the communities many shopping centres and strip malls.
North York has benefitted from the proliferation of the coffee chains, including Canadian ones like Timothy's, Second Cup, and Grabbajabba, but the US ones like Starbuck's.
There are also a number of smaller community-centered coffee establishments that are more homey in nature. Thank goodness there are still a lot of comfortable neighbourhood places to just "go for a coffee."
