Local Information |
|
First settled in the early 1800s, North York was both a farming and industrial centre in the "Golden Horseshoe".
North York grew up away from the shores of Lake Ontario and developed its parks along the area's many ravines. The community's most noticeable feature is that every part is very accessible to the 401 Macdonald-Cartier Freeway, which made it both a great place to live and to build businesses, manufacturing plants and distribution centres.
