This 444-seat theatre has excellent accoustics, superb backstage facilities and spacious reception areas, and is popular with opera, theatre and dance troupes, orchestras presenting concert series, film festivals, symposia, and literary awards. The Leah Posluns Theatre presents audiences with a year-round program of outstanding cultural events.

Main Stage Theatre
The Main Stage Theatre is a 1,727-seat theatre which is used for performances of Opera, Ballet, and Dance, as well as Corporate Presentations, Annual General Meetings, Campaign Kick-offs and Fund-raisers. The audience chamber is horseshoe shaped with two tiers of seating above the orchestra level. The tiered seating warps around the sides of the hall in the form of box seats with continental or box seating.

The orchestra pit has a split lift, each half can hold 45-50 musicians. The Main Stage, which is designed for the presentation of large scale musical and dramatic productions, is 28 meters (91.8') wide and 28 (91.8') meters long with a ceiling height of approximately 14 metres. All-inclusive rental fees begin at $20,000 for Not-for-Profit organizations, and $25,000 for commercial uses.

George Weston Recital Hall
The George Weston Recital Hall is a fully-equipped, 1,036-seat, world-renowned concert hall, which is home to The Toronto Philharmonia and Amadeus Choir. Theatre seating has 636 Seats on the Orchestra Level, 265 Seats on the Dress Circle, and 135 seats in the Choir Loft (wraps behind stage).

The performance area is approximately 10 metres (33') deep, 16 metres (52.5') long and 15 metres high. It is suitable for large orchestras, choirs, soloists, business presentations or plays. All-inclusive rental fees begin from: $7,000 for Not-for-Profit organizations, $8,000 for commercial organizations and $6,000 for school graduations.

Studio Theatre
This is a 200-seat, fully-equipped theatre. The "black box" design of the Studio Theatre makes for a diverse performance space dedicated to the demands of small-scale performances.

The seating arrangement is flexible (180 - 200 seats), allowing adjustmenst to the stage area, subject to fire regulations. Audience Risers are on 8 tiers, with a motorised retractable riser system. Loose chairs are arranged over the Gallery Level, Audience Risers and Floor.

This space is also ideal for business seminars, multimedia presentations and product launches. All-inclusive rental fees begin from $1,500 for Not-for-Profit organizations and $2,000 for commercial organizations.

Solar Stage (The Madison Centre)

The Solar Stage Children's Theatre provides theatrical presentations for an audience small children and adults. The intimate theatre environment seats around 100 patrons. Because of the great variances in patron heights, a combination of chairs and cushions provide different sized patrons with perfect sightlines.

Solar Stage is on the concourse level ofhe Madison Centre is 3 blocks NORTH of Sheppard Ave. on the WEST side of Yonge St. NOT at the Toronto Centre for the Arts, but located 1 long block SOUTH of there on the WEST side of Yonge St.

TTC: The closest station is Sheppard Station on the Yonge Line. Monday through Saturday the Madison Centre is accessible via an underground tunnel.

York Woods Library Theatre

The York Woods Library Theatre is a 260-seat facility at the York Woods District Branch of the Toronto Public Library. It is designed for community theatre, recitals, performances, meetings and library programs.

The theatre has a seating capacity of 232 fixed seats (raked configuration) and 23 removable seats in the orchestra pit, plus 5 wheelchair-designated spaces/

The stage is 27 feet deep, and 32 feet 8 inches wide. There is a Steinway baby grand and Two six-person dressing rooms with washrooms and showers, and a wheelchair accessible washroom backstage. For rental rates and information, please call the Room Booking Unit at 416-397-5969.
